6 Best Acuity Scheduling Alternatives for WordPress (2026)

Six WordPress plugins that replace Acuity Scheduling on your own site, with Acuity's current prices for comparison.

Best Acuity Scheduling alternatives: Payments, reminders and staff calendars on your own site.

Quick answer

The best Acuity Scheduling alternative for WordPress is Quill Booking, our own plugin, with calendar sync, video links, payments and SMS reminders from $39 a year. LatePoint takes payments in its free version, DoubleScale adds a CRM, Amelia suits multi-staff businesses and Bookly is strong on text reminders. Acuity itself starts at $16 a month with no free plan.

Acuity Scheduling is popular with coaches, therapists and studios because it combines booking, intake forms and payments. If your website runs on WordPress, a booking plugin can do the same on your own domain for a fraction of the yearly cost.

Disclosure: Quill Booking is our plugin, so we put it first. DoubleScale is a sister product from the same team. We list the same facts for every product, including what each one does not do well, so you can make your own call.

Acuity planPrice (billed yearly)Includes
Starter$16/month ($20 monthly)1 calendar, payments, email reminders, intake forms
Standard$27/month ($34 monthly)Up to 6 calendars, text reminders, waitlist, packages
Premium$55/month ($69 monthly)Up to 36 calendars, signed BAA for HIPAA, branding removal

Acuity is a capable tool, and its Premium plan is one of the few schedulers that signs a Business Associate Agreement for HIPAA. But a single-calendar business pays at least $192 a year, text reminders need Standard ($324 a year), and the booking page lives on Acuity rather than your site. A WordPress plugin covers most of the same ground for a one-site price.

How we chose

We checked every product’s own pricing and feature pages and its WordPress.org listing, then judged it on what matters most for this use:

  1. Reminders and calendar sync: the features people use every day, and which plan unlocks them.
  2. Booking experience: a clean booking page, time zones, intake questions and self-service rescheduling.
  3. Payments: Stripe, PayPal or WooCommerce, and whether they need a paid plan.
  4. Teams: staff, round-robin and group events.
  5. Total cost: yearly and lifetime prices for one site, compared with per-seat pricing.
  6. Upkeep: how recently each plugin was updated and its security record.
